How to Register for TNPSC OTR, Step by Step
One Time Registration (OTR) is the profile every TNPSC application starts from. You do it once, it stays valid for five years, and every detail in it is checked against your original certificates at verification. Do it slowly and correctly once.
- Step 1Keep these ready before you startYour SSLC marksheet (for name, date of birth and registration details), community certificate number, a valid personal email and mobile number, your resized photo (20-50KB) and signature (10-20KB), and a way to pay ₹150 online.
- Step 2Open the official portal and choose One Time RegistrationGo to the TNPSC exams portal (tnpscexams.net, linked from tnpsc.gov.in), click One Time Registration, then New User. Never register through third-party sites.
- Step 3Fill basic details exactly as your certificates readName, date of birth and parentage must match your SSLC certificate letter for letter. The community you enter must match your community certificate. Mismatches surface at certificate verification, not now, and can cost the selection.
- Step 4Upload photo and signature in the exact specificationPhoto: 3.5×4.5cm, 20-50KB JPEG, white background, taken within 3 months. Signature: 3.5×1.5cm, 10-20KB, normal running handwriting. Use our free resizers to hit the sizes exactly.
- Step 5Enter education records from SSLC onwardsAdd every qualification with register numbers, boards, years and medium of instruction. Tamil-medium entries here are what your PSTM claim is checked against later.
- Step 6Pay ₹150 and finish within 48 hoursThe registration fee is ₹150, paid online. Complete the whole registration within 48 hours of starting, incomplete registrations are deleted after that window and you start over.
- Step 7Save your OTR ID and verify the profileNote your user ID, set a password you will remember for years, and re-read the profile once fully. Corrections later are possible but windowed; getting it right now is free.
