English Translation

The crushing burden borne by earth Is tyrants bound to fools uncouth

கடுங்கோலாகிய ஆட்சிமுறை கல்லாதவரைத் தனக்கு அரணாகச் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளும், அது தவிர நிலத்திற்கு சுமை வேறு இல்லை.

Explanation

The earth bears up no greater burden than ignorant men whom a cruel sceptre attaches to itself (as the ministers of its evil deeds)
